Our Story

Scott Freeman’s unwavering passion for jewelry began at the young age of 16 when he started working at a watch shop doing quick repairs. He didn’t think much of it back then but little did he know, it was the beginning of a lifelong career.

 After graduating high school, he attended the prestigious Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and graduated with a degree in Jewelry Manufacturing Arts and Diamond Grading. He started his first job out of school working at a family-owned jewelry store in Schaumburg, where he learned how to run a jewelry business.

 At 25 years old, Scott bought a small jewelry store at 1125 West Bryn Mawr Avenue that had been around since 1918. He opened Bryn Mawr Jewelry Co. to the public in 2004, along with his wife, Jill, and became the proud owner of the century-old store.

 Bryn Mawr Jewelry Co. only grew since then, specializing in custom-made jewelry, bridal, gifts, and jewelry repairs. Each piece of jewelry is meticulously handcrafted to the highest standards, and our loyal customers can attest to this.
